Presented in collaboration with Fifth Season and the non-profit academy, Ghetto Film School (GFS), the Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Award recognises the talent and dedication of nine emerging Los Angeles-based filmmakers. Culminating in a Jury prize of $10,000 and an Audience Award of $2,500, this year’s award invited filmmakers to explore the idea of ‘Exploring Identity’ through their storytelling.

Voting for this year’s Audience Award opens on Sunday, January 15 and runs until Sunday, February 12. Vote now.

The winners of the 2023 Jury Prize and Audience Award will be announced during the fair, on Thursday, February 16. The ceremony will start at 6pm in the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounge and will feature welcome speeches followed by the announcement.


Frieze Viewing Room

The LA edition will feature presentations of works by leading contemporary galleries, showcasing today’s most exciting emerging and established artists, and will take place alongside a Frieze Week programme of online and live exhibitions and events across the city.
